VMware player was working perfectly fine for med before Windupdate and before the latest VMWare Player release (running VMware-player-15.5.2).

The VM is booting up though but with strange sound issues which I haven't been able to solve yet. Getting these kind of message for all 4 cpu's currently assigned to Ubunto 20.04 instance. I tried uninstalling VMWare player and installing the latest player instead (recently released?), now I actually managed to install Ubuntu 20.04 but now have very confusing crackling, popping sound issues instead.Īlso when VM (Ubuntu) is booting I see messages like 0.786049 : cpu 0, try to use APIC520 (LVT offset 2) for vector 0xf4, but the register is already in use for vector 0x0 on this cpu. First I had exactly the same " VMware Player and Device/Credential Guard are not compatible issue" as you but I gave up. To get started, press Start or hit the Windows key on your keyboard. I have had various updates with VMWare since installing the Windupdate (on Windows 10 home edition). How did you resolve this, I am suspecting this issue is affecting a lot of users right now (at least users running Windows 10 home edition and VMWare player).
